Well, that's it then.

Apparently it was BITS' Dom Mooney that ran the Savage Worlds 2300 games. Anyone know where I can get hold of him and ask if he might share?

2320 - Nice .pdf Actually

Ha! Traveller:2300 is quite the RPG in some ways. I bought it in 1986 - hated the artwork - very bad and we all played it as Traveller in the Terra year 2300. Which is at the end of the Interstellar wars. GT:IW is exactly what we played this game as. We did use the Kafers, French Arm, Rangers, etc. etc.

Now the 2300AD revision we played as a Cyberpunk game and liked it. It was solid Cyberpunk with a space angle - very nice.

Now we have 2320 - the third edition and it is quite good - best yet. 2320 is kinda like an official Traveller ATU and we play this version that way. A .pdf publication is better than nothing and Kinko's can take the file and bind it for you.

2320AD is a good game and the writers and artists should be proud of the product they made. Considering the state of Traveller now (mongoose taking over the game completely except GURPS Traveller) the .pdf publication is more than acceptable.

Cheers for a Good Product.

Thanks. I appreciate that.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! Seriously, tho, it didn't help that several reviewers said it was the OTU in 2300AD, either.

Hi,

Its kind of funny, I really enjoyed Traveller:2300 and 2300AD as well, but I actually liked the artwork quite a bit. Its probably my favorite part of the game, as it fit well with my thoughts on the look and feel for that time frame.

I like the 2300 artwork, too. Most of it anyway. It has a very "realistic grit" to it.

Some of the non-color line drawing, though, were pretty weak.

The same has been said of just about every other GDW line, S4...

I happen to agree with you, too.

There was that period with 2300 when GDW was trying to make it based on a comic book or something. Man, saying that was "weak" is like getting served hot water when you ordered coffee/tea.

That's "Energy Curve", and it was the commissioned artwork for the module. IMHO It was their weakest module.

I emailed Dom Mooney and he was kind enough to send me the materials for his 2300 AD/Savage Worlds game. He did a fantastic job and if I can talk my group into trying it, I might give it a go.

I suggested that he compile these for distribution.

I wonder how'd he'd handle space combat, though.
