Which RPG system do you use IYTU?

Oh, and that nice big black map of the Diaspora sector. Just like that nice big black map of the Spinward Marches.

I really love those big black sector maps.

I suppose there is no hope of ever seeing those produced ever again :(

Oh well. Drive on.

OOOPS. I just remembered. The Diaspora map was from MT.

You were right both times ;)

The Diaspora sector map appeared as part of a MT Folio adventure, and the map was included in the TNE Deluxe edition box.

IMTU I use a mix of CT and RuneQuest.

Me, too. I use the RQ2 character/combat system, with Scouts for system design, Striker for vehicles and High Guard for ships - not that my campaigns ever involve a lot of ship-to-ship. The setting is all Classic Traveller (it wasn't classic, then).

TNE system all the way baby.... I love the character creation and detail, and combat is rather nice too (when you half the basic hits in each area).

I use CT books 0-8 and alot of imagination. my tu is pretty much standard 3I 1170s but differs where I add human augmentation, G.E.L.F.s, and a more pronounce <ala Dune> power struggle between rival nobles.

I run CT mainly, although I am part of a project under way to adapt traveller to the Hero System that is going really well... we even managed to get Marc's permission, it will be a free PDF when its done, were trying to bring more people to playing Traveller, and were finding a lot of Hero/Champions players who have played traveller in various incarnations, and we're bringing some players back

Over the years (gosh, it´s been 21 years since I first played), I´ve alternated between CT, MT and TNE. At the moment, I´m playing out a Wilds campaign in TNE, and it works beautifully. It´s true the game rules are complex, but hey, if you´re GM´ing you don´t have to use them all. You do have to work a little more than in CT and MT (prepare settings, NPCs, gear stats; building a ship in TNE can be quite a drag; FFS was obviously written with A LOT of realism in mind). But otherwise, the game rules are good. The background story (death of the emperor, Virus etc.) initially put me off, but as my gaming group progresses in the Wilds, we find it´s easier to make things up since you don´t need to worry about canon and having this or that sourcebook all the time. To sum things up, CT and MT are nice, but TNE tends to be underrated by most players.

To paraphrase Shane McLean

"CT all the way baby!"

Well a hacked version of CT (Books 1 - 5 and Supplement 4) with a modified character gen system, task system from MT, and some other "house rules" culled from various online and other Traveller sources.

An almighty hotch-potch but one that works fine for me :)

Classic Traveller - It is just so easy to transport thanks to that little box. In addition we use a gob of house rules we also use the MT supplements to help flesh the world out.

The d20 system seems fairly popular but sounds dangerously close to D&D. I like my elves in one place and my spaceships in another.
