A Godwin's Law for Traveller threads, what would it be?

I thought that TNE not CT.

Yep, it is TNE for that example. Presumably built because TNE FF&S1 permits it (I still don't agree it was correct though, and think the creator of the Jump-Boat used it without consideration of the consequences because it was kewl).

There are so many other bad guys in history, one wonders what the fetish is with Nazis. I just don't get it.

Probably... actually it's probably best to just drop this line of thought as it will almost certainly cross the board rule about no politics.

Oh, I was only considering the main Trav rule set(s). FF&S was an odd offshoot that died an early, timely, death. :)

Deluxe versions of TNE were sold with FF&S and the Core rulebook. It was pretty much considered part of the core rules by most TNE players...

The Jump Boat was one of those flirtations with sub-100 designs that keep rearing their heads, and being a source for canonista complaint.

I'm sure TNE players considered it that, for good reason. It's just that only ~10% of the Trav players I knew ever liked TNE material.

I wonder who originated the sub 100t stuff. Seems like out of the blue considering the rules set.

Well, it's been argued for decades that sub 100Td ships could be made, just not with Bk2 letter-drives, based upon 1E CT's Jump Torpedoes.
