Check this out. It's a comparison shot of several of the 2320AD starships. A couple of them aren't the correct size, but you get the general idea.

Thanks to Laurent Esmiol for allowing us to post this image.

lesee here. there's the kennedy, the thorez, the 'tube freighter'... hello, what's this?

can it be the 'delta glider' from the orbiter sim? it sure looks similar, right down to the two engines. ;)

great work and further compliments go to laurent. i printed out a CESAD of his and hung it on my office wall.

Such a wonderful, wonderful picture of these ship, and Laurent is up to his usual high standards of performance too.

Maybe a list of the ships illustrated would be nice. I can't ID a couple of them.

From left to right (roughly), we have a stutterwarp tug, spaceplane, Pegase-class medium freighter, Ylii "Softball" courier. Kennedy bloc II Fast Missile Cruiser, City-class liner, Darwin-class exploratory cutter, orbital cutter, Martel-class fighter, Kafer Intruder, Thorez-class courier, Goliath-class tractor/tug, Sung Brilliant Starshine-class explorer/trader with solar panels furled, a Myrmidon-class corvette, and a French dreadnought. Stats are in the book for everything save the dreadnought...

That is truly the coolest thing I've seen this week.

I really think the 2300 ships are much more interesting than the CT/MT/TNE/T20 varities.

Minis Perhaps....
It's within the realm of possibility, though not very likely at the moment. I would certainly like to see some.

How about this, the Myrmidon-class intruder corvette. Built by Freihafen, and licensed to most major nations, it became one of the more common Human warship designs of the Kafer War. Following the war, most were sold into scrap or decommissioned, but some managed to escape that fate to become patrol vessels for several of the new stellar nations, like Freihafen, Heidelsheimat, Neubayern, Adlerhorst and even Elysia. Of course, a certain number found their way into the hands of privateers, and are causing havoc up and down the French Arm.

2 fixed-forward lasers, a submunition dispenser and external 4-cell missile launcher. But small, cramped and uncomfortable as hell.

Sounds like a PC ship...

Will there be deck plans for many of these?

Say, for example, the Myrmidon-class intruder corvette above?

Will there be many war surplus "small transports" ;) around amongst the colonies?

I'm working on the deckplan for the spaceplane and cutter first. Just started last night as a way of procrastinating on the adventure I'm writing. Then I plan on doing the corvette and the Thorez, followed by the Pegase, the exploratory cutter and dropship (not shown). I want to concentrate on PC-class ships for deckplans, at least for the moment. The deckplans will be available in 25mm/28mm at some point in time as well.
