Aslans are not something that I'm really interested in, but if I had to speculate in regard to their naval compositions, it would be that (if only to make it interesting) each clan has it's own doctrines and tactics, partially based on the resources they have available to invest in their arsenals.
If we assume a Sengoku Jidai ambiance, personal honour could be tied in to how well they serve their leader(s), with some clans emphasizing discipline and obedience. Personal courage can be assumed for senior leaders, meaning that they can be left in charge of commanding from carriers and tenders, allowing their juniors to engage the enemy directly in smaller attack craft.
Using battle riders exclusively tends to commit a task force to remain in command of the battlefield, allowing reinforcements to catch up with them.
Their capital ships could be similar to Mon Calamari cruisers, well constructed civilian ships converted to a military role. Their battleriders are purpose built warships that don't lack for volunteers.
