Azhanti High WTF?!

I can't imagine the Traveller community not being informed about this. I smell a lawsuit. Singapore, huh? Piracy capitol of the world.

p.s. isn't that Galactus' helmet?

heh... it's an art gallery showing... don't know about any lawsuit that can really happen. Singapore? Yeah, especially in Singapore.

If it were a movie... or an anime series... who knows, maybe...

I think Traveller would be awesome fodder for an animated series, if it were done right.

The least he could do is acknowledge the original source, "Azhanti High Lightning is the name of a fictional space craft", doesn't quite do it justice.

I probably think that any Traveller references in the original copy will have been axed by the marketing morons and that Simon Birch probably intended the name to be a tribute.

That's an offensive stereotype of the people of Singapore. Don't do it again.

(Just a little mockery of over sensitive PC types there...)

Conceived by the artist Simon Birch not longer than 13 months before, this extraordinary vessel contains a visionary environment of chance, change and consequence. Vaulted in seven portals through which visitors make passage, this voyage challenges all bodily senses to take flight, using no map but that found within their variable human experience. The course is as steady as blood finding its way through veins; but incandescently sublime as a vaporised star retreating into an unknown blackness that frames yet another window within our universe.

Welcome aboard Azhanti High Lightning...

Now that's just a blatant ripoff.

I can understand the artwork being modeled on Marvel or whatever, unless the 'ship' itself is considered artwork. The Spectrum series of books have some serious Sci-Fi competitions going. There's always something in there that makes me think it's a copyright violation or something.
