Equipment question

Folks:
Due to the bad weather last weekend, I was able to play some quick CT and GURP Fantasy games; however, someone brought a version of Mongoose Traveller and bugged the crap out of us to play that version opposed to CT. I was surprised at what was in the Mongoose version, and it was pretty cool, but call me ‘odd man out’ – I like the way Classic Traveller handles things a little better – particularly the armor class bonus/penalties, which I will call armor class (AC). For table top games, I like the way AC plays when focused on Roleplaying, and Damage reduction when dungeon crawling aka hack’n’slash/blast‘n’smash

However, it got me thinking – “how I can introduce Rocket Launchers, PGMP and FGMP into my Classic Traveller game”. Due to Classic Traveller armor not having damage reduction, but AC, I thought that damage values assigned to Rocket Launchers, PGMP and FGMP in Mongoose Traveller were a little too high for Classic Traveller, so a direct migration would not work very well; however I could be wrong.

Need some community help to make my Classic Traveller game standout and pop.

I wrote down the stats from my friend’s Mongoose book found on p. 101

Rocket Launcher
TL=DAMAGE
6 = 4d6
7 = 4d6+3
8 = 5d6
9 = 5d6+5

PGMP
TL=DAMAGE
12 = 10d6
13 = 12d6
14 = 12d6

FGMP
TL = DAMAGE
14 = 16d6
15 = 16d6
16 = 16d6

I'm guessing that you don't have CT "Book 4: Mercenary"?

Those weapons (and a few others) were introduced in that book and it provides complete CT combat tables for them.

It's worth noting that you can print the LBB sized books using acrobat reader just fine - use booklet printing double sided, and you get original size. Booklet Print onto 11x17, and you get large print editions.
Just normal print, expanding to fill US Letter or A4, and you get a large print binder version.
Print "two-up" on A4 or US Letter and you get Big Floppy Book double pages; these are great for the combat tables for CT.
