Has anyone used Firefly/Serenity?

I got the Serenity RPG about a week ago and was wondering if anyone has used that cluster of planets in their game. It's easily a Minor Humanity cluster without Jump Drive, but with High-end Terraforming capabilities. Everything is easily workable into a Traveller game.

I bought it a month ago Dameon. One of my players likes the Shadowrun game and wanted to try out Traveller but with the core system from Shadowrun.

We are using it [with psionics and not magic] in an okay manner. I used the old B grade scifi movie standard intro of the lost spacer needing help. It helped that she was cute and about 19 years old. So far my player is about to find out how populated his lonely little corner of space he calls home really is.

It truly can fit almost anywhere but as he's the only player interested in my heretical work it's probably going to be only a one shot mini campaign.

Oh well, I can always canabilize it for good stuff later.

Firefly class ship from Serenity is great for use in Traveller!

Been using it for about three months now. Not hard to figure movement on the deck plans either.

We are not using the Serenity universe as presented, but using the ship as a character ship with jump drive and I borrow from the Firefly/Serenity setting from time-to-time for interesting tidbits for my player characters to encounter.

When I first saw the series Firefly I thought this is what Traveller is like (minus jump drives).

I wish the series had not ended after one season. At least we have Traveller.
