I'll probably use RTT. If it doesn't work then it's back to MT or T20. As to D&D 4.0, I think I'll reserve judgement.

(Hi Mike, long time no see)

I will look at Mongoose Traveller...

I will look at Mongoose Traveller, and see what, if anything, we can incorporate into T20. Mongoose is very uneven, and over time, the dollars I spend putting Mongoose product on the game store shelf has declined precipitously. But their Starship Troopers RPG had some interesting ideas, especially regarding military specialization, so I am somewhat optimistic.

As for D&D 4.0, I think WotC currently lacks the talent to improve significantly over 3.5. The inclusion of Mike Mearles makes it slightly less hopeless, but we'll see. If Wizards keeps insulting me with books like their latest piece of tripe, Dungeon Survival Guide, I will be reducing their share of the shelf space even more.

Mongoose have done me a service, they got me back into Classic Traveller and for that I am grateful, but I see nothing in Mongoose Traveller to replace my long held appreciation of CT ever since I got the boxed set of black books for Xmas shortly a few years after Star Wars came out. Perhaps if more thought and attention had gone into it things may have been different but I doubt it. Just looked at Robots and Cybernetics in Travelling Man today actually and it was yawn..more of the usual. Must admit though that the new 760 Patrons looks 'quite' interesting, if only because I could use it with my CT - one of the only MGT products that I can do so.

I play CT and 1E/2E AD&D, and will continue to do so.

BTB, you should start a new poll.

After all, T20 is now dead, and WotC & Hasbro are canceling previously-planned 4E "D&D" releases amid increasing chatter of a move towards 5E "D&D".

After initial scepticism, I've pretty much moved to MGT with some (but not many) house rules. D&D 4E has affected my plans for Traveller - it gave rise to Pathfinder, so I'm now looking at doing a Traveller-like Pathfinder game.

I like MGT. It's popular, it's close enough to CT and MT, and it's accessible to newbies as well as salty, crusty, seasoned Traveller dogs like me.

I also like it because it is "open": Mongoose actively has ported several settings to it. I like it because 2300AD will be written on top of it.

It's caused me to spend a significant amount of time thinking about their rules, and how to work within the system. It's caused me to send in constructive criticism of their material. It causes me to think about where Traveller5 can -- and can't -- interface with it.

I know next to nothing about D&D4.
