I have been waiting patiently

Memberships before the change over lasted well beyond the original year paid for. Those who still did have time left on the membership at the change over had their time changed over as well. Those who's memberships had expired before the change over but still had access before lost access. No membership time or access was lost.

If you feel that was in error or another problem occurred that cut your membership short, email me and we'll get something worked out.

I purchased membership shortly before the whole website did a flip. On the first day, I was able to access the moot. Thereafter, it suddenly stopped.

Fair enough. New supplements and adventures are in the works with artwork for Solomani Ships underway now and another that is in development is posted in the Moot with a new adventure to be posted their for comment shortly.

It makes me happy to hear that. However, it has been still quite some time since any release save the Traveller's Players Handbook. I think you are quite sincere but have allowed this to go on too long without resolution.

You've been give the PDF which is all that is currently available, and yes when it is printed you'll receive a copy of that. The print version is currently being actively worked on.

Again it is a question of timelines and deadlines. Commit yourself and the community to a deadline and the community will award you, if you keep to it. I think that I have been more patient than most knowing what you have gone through. But, surely, you can do more to release many of the things that were worked upon before your crisis and even in a raw state which is what the TAs were designed for.
How does SF20 change support for Traveller?
As for the development of SFRPG20, it does directly impact on my support for Traveller, as up until the the Players' Handbook all books produced by QLI were more or less usable by all forms of Traveller. Now, I find myself more and more forced to adopt a D20 standard which is not what I signed up for.

Unfortunately as a small business, personal life takes events into hand that are beyond control. That's not an excuse, just a fact. All I can do is move on from where I was, which is what I have been doing.

Surely I can do more? No offense, but that's a pretty bold statement to make without knowing me or my life. This is how I make my living. No one wants to get new material released more than I do.

I'm not sure I understand the 'raw state' comment. You want me to release the TA manuscripts I have as they are now?

I've got new Traveller material in the works, so I'm not quite understanding where I've abandoned Traveller in favor of SF20 or d20.

Access Problems

Hi Hunter,

I don't know how far back your records go, but I was at one time a member of the Moot and had an eLibrary subscription. I cannot sign on to the eLbrary and when I try to get into the Moot I get a message saying I need special premission to go there.

I must admit I was absent from COTI for a few years and just started visiting again. Could you please help me get back into these places again?

I like what I have heard about T5 so far and am waiting for my CD-ROM. (Hopefully soon)

Thanks,

Shadow Bear

The eLibrary we can get you back into. Shoot me an email to grip (the @ sign) RPGRealms.com. If it's possible your eLibrary account was under a different email address from the one you have registered on CotI send that along please.

The Moot depends on when your subscription originally was taken. Again, drop me an email and we'll get you sorted :)

He has changed email accounts since then.

Shadowbear: your account shows the pti account, not the gci one that you had at the time.

So, is there any news on when we might get the next TA, or should I assume that the remaining 4 issues of my subscription* are worthless?

* A 12-issue subscription, to a product line that was supposedly going to be released every moth or two, cost me $66.99 in 2002. Doing the math, that's $22.33 still to go. Yes, exchange rates have changed, but it isn't my fault the release schedule has slipped so much…

An answer from the other thread. I think Hunter is enjoying the snow in Miami.
As the song says"
Ooooooh, take the money and run.

Hunter's not around here, that's for sure. He owes authors and artists a lot of money, and can't seem to send things to people when ordered or fix problems or give people their money's worth or their money back for unfulfilled subscriptions, and he's not talking to anyone about any of that.

Given all that, can you really blame people for thinking he's just "taken the money and run"? I can't believe he's unaware of any of these problems but he doesn't seem to be doing anything to fix it. Who knows, maybe it's just too much for him to deal with and he's just avoiding it rather than face it - it's not unheard of in this sort of situation.

Accusing Hunter of taking the money and running is a clear violation of the "Bad for the community" clause of the rules.

ANYONE ELSE SO DOING WILL GET 3 DAYS SUSPENSION. No warnings.

I don't know if he has or not. It's not a matter for discussion nor speculation in that mode.

Hunter's last activity (according to the BBS Software) is 24 June 2008.
Last posted issue: Hunter has been without a computer at home.

I'd like to point out that Theophilus was the one who accused hunter of "taking the money and running". I just said that given the circumstances it's not surprising that people can think that - which is very different from accusing him of doing that myself.

I think we'd all agree that the real thing that's "Bad for the community" is Hunter's continued absence and lack of contact with anyone or paying his writers or doing all the other things he's supposed to be doing.

According to his public profile, the last post he made on the forum was on April 12th 2008. Where has he posted since then to say that he is without a computer at home?

And honestly, can anyone really say that this is a valid excuse for such a prolonged absence nowadays? Does he not know anybody with internet access whose computer he can borrow or use? Are there no internet cafes where he lives? Can he not even fire off an email to one of the mods to post an update from him?

I'm not accusing him of anything here but do you really honestly think that he's making a serious effort to keep in touch with people or to keep things afloat here? Surely he could have passed off the responsibilities for running QLI to someone else while he was away.

Activity is not the same as post; his last post was 21 Jun 08. In an area restricted from general posters.

Thread closed. You may thank Odegra.

Im sorry but I dont agree with your handling of this situation at all aramis.

It is not our role as mods to stop people asking valid question to the buisiness workings of QLI and what has happened to their hard earned money.
If they have payed by a credit card or paypal they could have by now claimed a dispute against QLI so by asking in here they are being kind.

You have made it clear that people posting something like "Has Hunter run off with our money" is against the rules of the forum, well no their not and I will explain why.

QLI is a buisiness and in extention CotI is a way of customers contacting the seller (Hunter in this case), by Hunter not making any attempt to contact these people and or anyone else including the mods and freelancers he owe money to you cant except people not to ask these types of questions.

I will not be party to your draconian rules system and so am resigning my position as of now as a moderator for CotI.

Mod's are here to help people and run the forum and not BLOODY stormtroopers of QLI.

You're both right.

If people have paid for goods they haven't received, or have done work and not been paid, they are entitled to be angry and ask WTF is going on.

However, accusing Hunter of criminal activity is NOT acceptable. It's pure speculation, and damaging to (what's left of) his business and reputation.

I have no problems of using mod's powers were they are in the right but in this situation aramis was way of base.
I was in two minds to take this further but I will let it lie, all I will say is we are ALL under the same rules of conduit set for CotI, it doesnt mater who you are.

Thank you Roger. I have also complained about Aramis's actions on the Website issues board. And again I want to make it very clear that I did not at any point accuse hunter of "criminal activity" as I have been accused and unfairly punished for.

And also WTF, Hunter posted something on the 24th June? If he could do that then he has no excuse for not making some attempt to contact people and resolve situations at the same time.
