Lone Star chat?

Well... it seems we've shut down a little early tonight... for those of you whom couldn't make it we had a pretty good over all chat about the kinds of things people usually chat about, from how to spit shine boots, through other RPG's we've played, and finally ending with stories from our currently running Traveller games. So, untill next sunday I hope you all have a good week, and keep travelling!

</font>[/QUOTE]I am glad I was able to stop in. As always, it was nice to see everyone. And the Band Gig, for those in the know, was a riot. Wish all of ya'll could have been there. Ahhh, now back to the life of a mortal, my rock-star days must rest till St. Pats again.

Greetings Sophonts!

On Sunday, starting approximately 1pm EST (Eastern Standard Time Zone to us Eastern U.S. folks) at chat.msn.com and ending when the last person leaves, will be the almost weekly Lone Star Chat! Pay attention to this thread for a link to be posted when it opens for business.

Hope to see you there!

Can someone tell me what time you mean when you say Eastern Standard time, I asked before but nobody answered. I think it's UTC-5, but I'm still unsure (could be 6 or 4 depending where on the east coast US that time zone is).

Anyhoo - It doesn't really matter to me, I'll be curled up in my cosy little futon by then preparing for another fun filled day at the office (1pm sunday at Z-5 is 4am monday here at z+10).

Raise a virtual beer for me.

Mink, you posted this one hour ago my time (CST). The time posted here on the site is EST. Eak lives in the EST zone of the USA. From London Time/UK, we're behind them by approx seven hrs. ( I get to add another hour being one time zone beyond that.9Its 1pm UK/London now fer example.

Hope that helps some more. And I shall, hoist a pint fer you-virtually ;)

heretically yours,

Hey Mink!

Sorry about the time zone confusion.

If you're interested you can check with these sites for more information.

This one has more links to other good Time Zone information including a PDF which is current as of september.

And this one has a nifty little setup that will tell you what time it is in several different time zones and cities, as well as your current time based on your computer clock.

Hope this helps!

P.S. If you like I can e-mail you a ziped archive of the page from the second link. I snagged it to my local drive and edited out all the crud nav bar stuff and changed the links so it'll work from a local source.

Danke Schon Tout la Monde

So EST is Z-5. I normally use www.timezoneconverter.com but it is based on the city. That way I don;t need to know where the timezone borders are in countries arround the world. (It also handles daylight issues for me)

Did you all have a good chat? I lurked arround in the room till 10pm (7am EST) but it was still quiet (No Suprises there).

Next week I'll drop a line on entry/exit just in case there are others who "work" late on a sunday.

I very sorry about that Mink, we usually hang out for a while...

If you still want to chat we're still there tonight. In fact we have record numbers of chatters about! A whole 7 people all discussing traveller!

Just follow the link below!

Greetings all - I figured that, since I was working today, I'd log in to Lone star and greet people as they came on line.

The Time is currently 3pm Sunday locals time or
