Made me think of Traveller... again

I don't think I've ever seen that show.

Hmmm, you are too young to have seen it. You have to be aged and decrepit like me to remember it. It ran for one season in 1966-67, when I was a sophomore in high school and you were not yet a gleam in your parents eyes. At 44, you probably were born in 1969, the year I graduated from high school.

I looked up the Time Tunnel TV show on Wikipedia, and it turns out that it is available on DVD. I will have to look that up. I liked and enjoyed the show. It would be a good basis for ideas for alternate universes following a mis-jump.

Hi Timeover51
Let's see how old you are. Do you remember these TV shows- Rocky Jones, Flash Gordon (the one made in "West"Germany),Men into Space, and Space Angel

Yes, I remember Rocky Jones, and I was watching the original Flash Gordon series with Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon from the re-runs of the 1930s serial. WGN in Chicago was carrying the original serial series, and did not carry the 1954 version. They also carried Tarzan with Johnny Weissmüller along with the Jungle Jim series. Charles Middleton as Ming the Merciless was awesome. My brothers and I were not into Men in Space, but did watch Space Angel. We also watched Supercar and Stingray.

Sifu peeks in...

just passing through at random, saw this thread. shocked to see someone here older than me (graduated 1974)

I remember and love all those 60s shows. TIME TUNNEL, VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, LAND OF THE GIANTS...

BTW, I LOVE the Fixx and this video is awesome. Imagine if you will, an entity and his counterpart in a parallel universe interacting...

It would be interesting to see if anyone remember these two.

1. Anyone besides me remember watching on TV the SS Stockholm return to New York after ramming and sinking the liner SS Andrea Doria in 1956.

2. Also in 1956, anyone remember Walter Cronkite covering the 1956 Arab-Israeli War and the Suez Canal takeover by the British and French?

I should have added Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea in my list of favorite TV shows. The Seaview would make a nice space ship too.

Hi
I remember those. I may have you beat, I got to go on board a B-29 that had come back from flying missions over Korea ( I was real young) we drove there in my Dad's Kaiser. I also got to see JFK speak when he was running for president, got to meet Mickey Mantle and get his autograph, and was at the foot of the stage at a Jimi Hendrix concert.
Do you remember when they would bring TVs into the class (B&W) to watch the early space flights ? I also lived in North Carolina in the early 60s ,we moved down there from Indiana and saw a lot of stuff that made you think you were living in the 1860s.
When I was in Scotland in the mid- 80s on vacation I still had long hair and beard ,a guy ask if I wanted to be an extra in a battle scene in a movie they were shooting . I had to leave before they were starting so I couldn't do it ,turned out the movie was "Highlander" NUTS!! that would have been cool.

I vaguely remember Time Tunnel I'd have been about 6, so it must have been a repeat. I've noticed they've remade the Tomorrow People and there is a new series out, but haven't watched it yet, although it's on my box waiting....

Regards

David
