Marc@60

I, too, received my appointment letter, but the warrant itself is not filled out...

Many Thanks to Mr. Miller as well

I just got mine in the mail today and It's going to get framed as well. I'm keeping the envelope too.

I guess we just get to pick our planet for our fief.
( Gotta do some roleplay here )

My Liege,
I renew my Pledge of Loyality to You and to The Imperium. I further Pledge to give my best to the subjects you have placed under my care as a Noble of the Imperium.

Long Live Strephon!!! Long Live the Imperium !!

Birthday Lists

I just got my Listing in the mail yesterday.

Needless to say, I was speachless. Such a gracious gesture from what was basically a 30 second Email. Please tell Marc how much I appreciate it.

My wife actually got a bit upset because I hadn't liked any of my presents from her nearly as much. I was bouncing around like a little kid all night.

I went out and bought a frame and it is already up on the wall.

Andrew, PLEASE tell Marc how much this gesture meant to me.

Baron Plankowner of Lunion.

I suspect these patents don't come with a fief, but I'll check.

BTW, I had no idea Marc was going to do this - I was as stunned as the rest of you!

Yes, that's what made it special.

And I figure it's a case of pick your own fief. :)

Well according to the paperwork I received, you get 1 hex on your homeworld and 1 hex somewhere else in the same system for you to develop.

Most of my characters came from Lunion as that was our stomping ground within the SM, so I chose that one.

I thought the T5 excerpt said it was 4 and 4 for Barons.

In any case, I found myself pulling out my copy of Supplement 11, the Nobles essay, to see what I was entitled to. ;)

It was, based upon how much he's shorting himself, quite a generous thing.

And I want to be the Baron Wypoc. ;)

In that case, I'm now Baron Cyan 2102 Pax Rulin/Trojan Reaches C4689B9-B W Hi 510 3I (I couldn't find any planet that had really high tech plus breathable atmosphere that I liked that someone hadn't done anything with aside from this...).

I suppose I have to (a.) fill in my own enfeoffment and (b.) do a write up of Cyan, once I finish posting my writeup of Baakh/Ley... As soon as I switch webviewers I'm Landgrabbing it officially.

A grin and thanks.

I too am humbled by Marc's generosity. I was expecting (and would have been more than content) with a simple "thank you" card.
I hadn't planned on purchasing the T5 version, due to finances, but now...

Anyway, plwase extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Imperial Highness.

A semantic question: Don't you use the name of the parcel of land and not of the planet it's located on? (Although I realize that leaves people going "Where the heck is Cleveland?").

In my case it's because no-one's described any cities on Cyan. I'm going to have to do it myself!!!

<happy happy joy joy>

It has arrived, no slow X-Boat transmission either, a type TJ arrived insystem with my patent of nobility

Very very cool thanks to pass along to Marc. Don't know why this has got me so freaking buzzed but it does. I can remember seeing these advertised ages ago and thinking about sending for one but I never did and always kinda regretted it in a nerdy way. Yep it's getting framed and put up on the wall of my geek hideout :D

I wonder if the mental stimulation gaming provides the brain might hold off or abate the usual effects of aging, like concentration and memory loss to some degree.

Perhaps, someday, people will do a study of aging gamers and conclude it is indeed good for the brain.

Of course we all knew that already, but sometimes it takes science a while to catch up....

Mine arrived yesterday! Another frame on the wall is coming - maybe two (the letter deserves visibility too I'm thinking).
Thanks Marc! Totally unexpected.

Thanks! :):):)

It has arrived in time for my birthday. My wife says "What did you order now?" I said "Nothing, but you are now a member of the nobility! ---- In the 50th century. And many lightyears from here."

Thanks again Marc

If we happen to have someone with a PhD in psych out there, here is a free idea for research!
