Mixing 2300ad with Classic Traveller

I noticed on another website recently that there are a few people who were interested in using the 2300ad rules in the Classic Traveller setting. I have on occasion thought just the opposite, using CT rules in the 2300ad setting. How many people have thought about doing this, in either fashion?

I've been thinking along those lines (as well as using the STAR FRONTIERS game setting) for TRAVELLER. The 2300AD races are much better than the Vargr and Aslan and the history is great. I think the 2300AD setting would be a blast! The OTU is too static and boring and designed mainly for merchant campaigns.
