Civilian Wheeled Vehicles [IMTU]

I have a Classic Traveller PbP game ["BACKWATER"] that takes place on a TL 11 world in a TL 10-13 Universe. Many worlds in Traveller Worldgen have a POP that will require settlements to be located too far apart to make paved roads economical. Grav tech is too expensive for most people [using STRIKER/Megatraveller]. I needed a better selection of WHEELED vehicles optimized for DIRT ROADS and OFF-ROAD travel. Using DOD data for speeds as a starting point, I created some Civilian Vehicles for my worlds. I REALLY do not want to get into the HOUSE RULES on more realistic fuel consumption that was incorporated into them, or why I rounded the prices up to the nearest convenient figure ... so these are just presented as ART for you to love, hate, use or ignore as the spirit moves you ...

I expect to see a hostile nuclear detonation somewhere on a major city.

2000 MREs? 2000 gallons of fuel? May, your setup is very generous. I'm sure we had 2000 rounds (more likely 5000k+ if you were with vehicles), but I don't recall having more than about 500-600 gallons of fuel and MREs were probably a few hundred.
You start at a supply dump, the interesting thing is if you have no vehicle...
I didn't mention the 2000 grenades, 2000 machine gun rounds, 2000 artillery shells, 2000 pistol rounds - most of this stuff is beyond your group's ability to carry, but you can barter...

The way I run Traveller, if you buy from one of the Megacorporations or their many, many, many subsidiaries, they will absolutely stuff subscription software into your TL7 or TL8 product. Even if the infrastructure isn't there to support the subscription model on the world you're taking it to, the machine might not stay there. And if you're on a higher-TL world where the infrastructure is there (satellites, more powerful processors in traffic-monitoring equipment, etc.) then they'll be able to squeeze more money from you; you'll just have to suffer without the heater on a cold planet.

These decisions are made in the boardroom, but dudes who will never, ever use these products. They see the long game, where starships are still in use 90-100 years after manufacture, and they can smell the credsticks.

But if you buy from one of the myriad smaller corporations, you'll probably get something much more end-user-supportive. Those companies need your purchase money now, they can't wait for the "long tail" economic effect to kick in. And one of the ways they can do that is to give you the ability to control more features in your vehicle.

But IMTU, I run Megacorporations as the absolute worst humanity can possibly be. Everything is an acceptable sacrifice in the name of shareholder value, and the only check on that is the fear that the Imperium will literally send dudes to shoot you and seize your assets, because it's not a democracy...
