There is a three book, to date, series called the Synchronicity War.
Earth only highly advanced, with make anything factory units, grav plates and MD, a version of JD that allows long time and short jumps, including very short time in system jumps, fusion reactors that require skimmed heavy helium from gas giants.
Earth starts with a space gendarme force that looks like a coast guard modeled unit, which has to get military like and upgunned quickly. This is because there are aliens that want to kill all humans.
The first two novels are really good, the third gets into time travel and visions way too much.
The tech curve ramps up quickly, going from the equivalent of TL12/13 to TL16/17 quickly.
I suspect Traveller was a big influence on the setting and tech. Except for the jump time and MD ratings in the range of 100-400 Gs it could be a straight Traveller setting, except that AI units become available at TL14/15.
