Quick Reference Tables, anyone?

BlindGuy

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anybody has compiled some kind of quick reference for MGT, containing the tables for common processes like the trade procedure, world generation, or character creation. I've been trying to make my copy of the core rules as screen reader friendly as possible, and often this involves rearranging or retyping tables which were mangled by the conversion from PDF to text. It's a frustratingly tedious process, and I was hoping someone here had done some of the grunt work in separating these from the main text, which reads quite well.
Does any such quick reference exist? If I can avoid having to redo some of these—trade goods and spacecraft design tables, for instance, it would be very much appreciated.
I do have a copy of an MS Word manuscript of the core rules, but this seems to differ from the final published version in several ways, and I'd rather stick with what's been officially corrected and clarified, if possible. :)

Thanks much for any help,
Zack.

Sadly, the trade tables are listed as product identity, and thus "off-limits". (In other words, unless MongooseMatt gives permission, don't let me catch anyone offering. Sorry.)

World Generation is in the SRD, which is in MS Word, and is probably what you've got.

(The playtest files for the public playtest were in PDF. And really don't match in a number of important ways.)

Thanks for this info. I actually was put in touch with Gareth Hanrahan, who was kind enough to provide me his manuscript, though as noted above it seems to differ substantially from the final rules as published. I guess there's nothing for it but to wait in hopes of getting official permission from Mongoose, and in the meantime I'll work on my own as energy permits.
If it helps, I give my personal assurance to Mongoose and everybody else here that the only reason I'm asking for this kind of info to be made available is accessibility-related. I have no intention of violating anybody's copyrights, I just want to be able to read and play a fun game in an accessible fashion, without needing to go through contortions. :)

All the best,
Zack.

One thing is that for each person, depending on their personal game style, what's important may differ. For example: One group uses the sector data as published. Another group uses a home brewed sector. A third has an exploration game where they roll up worlds as they encounter them.

Of no help for you, what I've done is copied pages from the book and put them in a 3 ring binder with tabs.

I think aramis' issue is that people can't post their solutions on this website because it would make copyrighted material available to all.

Non-Open-Licensed copyright materials, specifically.

Which even asking for is a violation of board rules. Most people don't acutally know what's open in MGT (specifically, only most of what is in the SRD; anything in the rulebook but not the SRD is closed content.

That said, I home someone is able to help BlindGuy with that - they just can't do so publicly on the board.

BlindGuy - you might try PMing MongooseMatt.
