Hello,

has anyone tried my Snapshot mod for TWE?

I need some ideas how to simulate PGMPs and FGMPs within the system.
Slug throwers and lasers are fine so far, but now I want to do some heavies

In order to play, one needs the program 'The War Engine' by Shrapnelgames (wargame construction kit for turn-based cosims).

I am nearly finished with my ground combat add-on for the Snapshot mod, featuring combat in installations on asteroids and moons (for a change from starship interiors).

As Shrapnel is not longer able to host stuff, does anybody know where I can upload the files, once I am finished?

Depending on the file size and how okay Shrapnel Games is with it you may want to try and submit it here. If not there are folk with Traveller fan sites that might be able to help.

Go to the elibrary section and at the lower left hand corner is a add resource button.

FWIW, I don't have TWE though I liked the demo, like fan mods, and SG is a good company; ooooo Horse & Musket 2 in the works

Hi,

here is one screenshot of the "grounded" add-on for my Snapshot mod.
It shows some Imperial Marines with Warbot support, who investigate an abandoned mining site on an asteroid.

I found a way to incorporate PGMPs and FGMPs; now you really can hurt some guys

With this addition my Snapshot computer version is complete.
I will add 2 more scenarios, but not before end of January.

The game program "The War Engine", that you need in order to play the Computer Snapshot version, is now available for free!

All you have to do is downloading the "War Engine" and the files for "Snapshot"

A blast from the past.... I had this game before it was the War Engine and played an Aliens mod on it. I also knew there was a snapshot mod in development but never found it. So thanks for the links, I will try this all over again.

Yes, the computer runs the monsters/opponents; in fact, I designed all scenarios you get with the download for solitaire play!
Check the readme files.

So, grab your trusty ACR and try to save the INTREPID from the escaped lifeforms...or as a squad leader of the Imperial Marines, storm a pirate vessel...

Dear Masconi and Friends,

I just downloaded The War Engine (TWE), it's incredible ! However, the links to the Snapshot and Aliens mods no longer function, is there any chance of them being posted again ?

Also, I'd like to encourage cooperative effort in supporting the Snapshot mod in TWE, particularly with designing ship deck plans in the TWE format. Also, a Striker-type ground combat mod would be great.
