The Solomani have Scout ships. I've seen deckplans of the 'Squashed Scout', the 'Intrepid Class' IIRC.
Is the SCSS a separate entity, like the IISS, or is it a branch of the Sol Confed navy?
I don't recall reading anything that says one way or the other.
My campaign is well into the 1130's, Storr and Phlange sectors, and the PC's (Scouts), have run across an abandoned SCN DE, quite a find, but for the fact it severely creeped them out! They have also been contacted by several SCSS ships and personnel, whom they have 'politely' press-ganged
, into joining the IISS mission.
