To "Striker" or not to "Striker" - that is the Question!

I converted striker damage rolls to doing dice of damage, myself.

Pen +2d6-AV:
1-3: 1-3 points of damage.
4-15: 1-12 dice of damage
16-27: 14-36 dice of damage
A +1 damage modifier was a double dice.
A +2 was triple dice, etc.

It worked.
I preferred the MT variant.

Yep.

If penetration is two or more times the AV take full damage.

If penetration is at least equal to AV take half damage.

If penetration is less than AV then take damage x 0.1 - unless in full suit armour in which case no damage is taken.

Are you sure this is simpler :confused:

My house rule is to make the math for damage match the damage multiple to the pen ratio

If penetration is more than the AV take full damage.

If penetration is at least equal to half the AV take half damage.

If penetration is at least equal to 1/10th the AV take 1/10th the damage.

Wow, I spent hundreds of hours with Striker (although mostly with design & organizations, rather than actual playing the game). Wonder where my notebooks of designs went (that was long before I had a computer)?

I just dug a bunch of my CT stuff out, but haven't found all of it yet (including the LBB and the Striker box). I'd be happy to contribute my old designs if I can find them. I had a number of grav sleds built for a lift cav mercenary unit that I played solo for a long time, which used a lot of small caliber CPR and tac missiles.
