Well of Souls is here: http://well-of-souls.com/outsider/

BTW, what is wrong with Spandex? (save the S-GK comment...). I don't know, Traveller certainly needs an attractive image and that is why I would propose that some its regular artists devote some time and reap financial reward in a longer run perspective.

Both 2001 Nights and Planetes are great, even if not that Traveller-like (more 2300AD, yes). Lots of inspiration and good imagery to use none-the-less (and not so BESM for those not liking manga).

well, herein lies the rub, fom a purely mercenary viewpoint...Webcomics, with very few exceptions (and yes, there are exceptions), make their artists very little in the way of money. Often, they are a matter of artistic interest or a labor of love, and while there are some that make a living at it (the PVP and Penny Arcade artists come to mind)most do it as a secondary or tertiary interest, and priorities.

Myself, I'd love to turn out a comic, were I to turn any kind of money at it all to speak of, but there are other projects with paychecks that beckon, and the bills come first. This is likely the case with my counterparts as well.A webcomic is easily the same amount of work on the artist's end as any print job, especially if they are serious about it. There ARE some SF styled webcomics, some on Keenspoace, but be warned, keenspace boasts the "worlds largest free webcomic hosting site" so be prepared to sift...and I mean SIFT, with several THOUSAND comix to choose from, ranging to kids posting on newspaper to anime influenced ⌧ and yet MORE teenybop highschool/colleg life bits to some real gems. Its the gems that make it worthwhile, I'll put a few up here in another post.

www.Keenspot.com is home to Shlock Mercenary, and if the art isn't steller its damn near always funny!

Well, here's a thought, as I was doing some research for Colin...I pulled out the 2300AD adventure - Energy Curve. Why not introduce a comic that supplements the narrative of an adventure the idea, I guess flopped with GDW but perhaps it is time to do it again.

BTW, who was the artist who did the majority of 2300AD covers, as this very reflective of my conception of art for the Traveller universe. Hard, realistic and gritty.

If There were to be a Traveller comic either online or in printed form, it occured to me that it'd benefit from being an anthology publication rather than just one story. Much like 2000AD or GW's Warhammer comic. The OTU is such a diverse place that it would be impossible to come up with one story that suited all.
An anthology comic on the other hand could have the adventures of a free trader crew in the spinward marches. The subtle trials and tribulations in the houses of the nobles. The exploits of a Vargr special ops team. The adventures of a platoon of Imperial troops on the front line. And so on and so forth - illustrating many aspects to the Traveller universe in one go without trying to cram everything into one storyline.
Just a thought.
