I was going through my notes the other day and I realized that the data as to what people are interested in for Traveller is about 5 years old. MgT has changed alot since then and I was wondering what you are interested in. So please vote in the poll and tell us more about what you are interested in. Please share below more about what you would like to see. A vote for more equipment is helpful but not as helpful as a vote for equipment and you telling us that you are looking for post TL 20 equipment (if that is what you want to see).

Thank you in advance.

I'd like to see some electronic GM aides. Even OpenOffice spreadsheets for ship design, system gen. That kind of thing. Creating home brew sectors & subsectors is a REAL chore and it is vital if one isn't using the 3I material.

More planets with lots of details:
- planet map
- star system info, showing distances between planetary orbits, shown from edge on and not from above (less space needed to show); name the planets, perhaps any major moons or planetoids.
- if the planet is inhospitable, why are people living on it.
- possible plot hooks and maybe a couple NPCs/contacts.

I just ran the Cold Fuzion adventure in Gateway to Destiny and loved the few planet descriptions in that book.

What I would LOVE to see is a more detailed explanation of T5 ship creation. Look Marc I know this is all clear in YOUR head but I just can't get into your head. You have so many unexplained items it makes this hard. First off a glossary of terms and abbreviations would go a LONG way to helping here. Like how much EP does a jump take? how much time of life-support does 1 EP yield? I find that antimatter yields 300 times the power of fission so it seems to me that an AM pp would have a set tonnage and EP output.

All of the poll answers, except for the first one. As I don't have everything I need. While I have been told I have a good imagination, I cannot think of everything. So other folks ship designs, scenarios, planets, societies, etc. helps me like a seed. I'll look it over, and decide what modifications I'll make to fit it into my game world. Or, something in a scenario will take me off on a tangent idea and I come up with something my players will find interesting enough to have their characters leave the village/spaceport tavern.

- a Spacer's Guide to Known Space, with info about surviving in space. Everything a new spacer should know, like: how to puke in a VACC suit, what VACC stands for, where to get air (or other necessities) in an emergency, what's the best basic gun to have (or other equipment), places to avoid, traditions and space legends, the wonders of space (like the seven wonders of the world), and so on...

- a Regina subsector campaign (after all of these years)

- an Explorer book, not just aimed at Scouts, but independent explorers, corporate surveyors, Detached Scouts, tramp freighter captains looking to make a few credits, the accidental explorer, etc...

Well, I definitely can't do that. The closest I could do (physically speaking) is a campaign in the Foreven Sector.

Hi,

I would like to see more planets detailed along the lines of Fiddler's Green,
(Bularia) which gave details of the equipment of local security forces and examples of weapons.

I also would like to see more ships that could be used by traveller groups to get to places quickly so 200 to 400 tons with minimum Jump and manoeuvre
3.

Regards

David

Like Spinward, I'd like a campaign set in Regina subsector (I'd like to help WRITE a campaign set in Regina subsector ;)). The thing that fascinate me about the Traveller universe is the pre-existing framework and contributing to laying a vast puzzle of a setting, coming up with pieces that fit with what already exist and having other people coming up with new pieces that fit what already exists. The whole collaboration on creating a setting bigger and more complex that I could have created on my own.

I'm afraid I just don't have any interest in starting all over again from scratch. If I had, I could just make up my own setting and be done with it.

I'm looking for interesting adventure concepts, world write ups and characters that haven't been done to death before, both for use with Traveller and other sci-fi games.

I shall repost my reply from the Mongoose forums:

Equipment so long as it is not guns (Central Supply Catalogue has that covered thoroughly)
Ships that are 3I compatible
Ships that use alternate drives (hyperdrives are my preference)
Ships that, regardless of type, are not bigger than 20,000 tons
Premade adventures (I don't care where they're located so do some of each)
Fantasy stuff (I have those careers I occasionally mention)

Also make rules for biotech. 2300AD stuff is a good place to start.

I voted for Foreven Sector and generic adventures.

Traveller is the only game I've ever had any success at running published adventures. Every other game I've ever run I've had to improvise my own adventures because I couldn't fit published ones into the campaign.

But with the quality of most Traveller adventures I can use them with only minimal filing-off of the serial numbers.

Our group just finished a 2-month story arc out of one encounter in 76 patrons. I was able to tie it into a previous encounter they'd had and the story started writing itself.

Anything that would generate more adventure ideas / plot seeds would be extremely welcome.

I also find that my players only do well on the fringes of the 3I. They're not terribly law-abiding types, and 2 previous games failed because they felt stifled.

Foreven would give me a place to send them that would probably suit them better.
Although I'm about to start an adventure in the Trojan Reach, and we'll see how that goes.

Edit: Oh, and any more sectors Mongoose has plans to publish, DrivethruRPG.com will be getting my money for, too. I already picked up all the PDFs except for Solomani Rim; I still need to get that one.

I would like to see some stuff for introducing Kids to the Traveller experience.
A few short adventures and some easy to use deck plans, Miniatures both ship and PC/NPC would be helpful.

Bussard ram jets in Traveller would be interesting to. Science fiction certainly uses them in various stories.

So that's a "no" to Foreven then, yes?

Put me down as a "yes" for Foreven. It's hard to do it well -- selling a vision of Foreven that's compelling and believable, with a Keiths-level of quality-- but if it's done well, it will rock.

This. Tools, even in just excel or calc, to help make and generate the stuff for Mongoose Traveller.

Still reading rules and talking with players about what kind of campaign they want to play. But I'm mostly interested in less combat and more trading/scheming. We do enough combat in dungeons. ;)

Perhaps I'm just new and haven't found where to look. But I haven't found much in the way of tools for Mongoose traveller.

Ships (Both 3I and others, like Warp Ships), Equipment (non-gun), and adventures along the lines of the old JTAS Amber Zones for both the 3I and other settings.

A Fantasy setting would be nice too.
