What do you guys know about Imperial War?

It was a wargame designed for use with Traveller by Judges Guild.

I'm not sure I've ever heard of it. Seems to be something with counters and planetary maps--anybody ever play it?

Are you talking about Imperium? Set during the early Solomani/ Vilani wars. A similar game is Dark Nebula, Very similar set on the Solomani/ Aslan border. Both games were fun, but I,perium could take a long time.

Naw, it's a game called "Imperial Infantry Squad". It was a Judges Guild game, I think set in the Traveller universe. Counters and such on a standard Traveller world map, or something like that.

I had never heard of it until tonight.

Anyone played it?

I saw both of those links before I posted, Sig. Noble Knight is where I first picked up the game (when I was buying the GT stuff), and I googled it to find the second link.

Niether give a clear impression of whether the game is a Traveller game or not.

Someone on the TML replied to my request, and he said that (1) it was a good game, and (2) it's not really set in the Traveller universe.
