What is Mega Traveller?and differences from CT.

Hi venture !

"MKS" is just a typical shortcut for the use of regular metric units.
Regarding the time/distance calculations its just true, that K 8kg) is not used here.

Well, guess there no game definition for parsec, because Parsec is a (well) known astronomical unit definition itself

Anyway you're right, it could have made sense to "metrify" even the astronomical unit system.
So as a parsec is around 31*10^16 m, one could perhaps use Pm (Peta-meters=10^15m) as a unit for stellar distances....

(Sorry I actually cannot see, whats on page 54).

As Engineer says.

The K of MKS doesn't apply (except by inference, in that acceleration implies a mass).

As to task systems: DGP's Task System was similar to MT's; essentially, DGP-CT is 1.0beta, T2300 is 2.0 beta , and MT is 1.1 final release.

There are subtle differences, and a lot of added capability, in the MT expression of it.

The GAME definition of a parsec is ONE Hex on the Subsector, or Sector map. A Jump One ship can move from the mainworld in one hex (parsec)to the mainworld in any adjacent parsec (map hex)during one week. Higher value Jump drives can traveller more of these map hexes, or parsecs, in one week. Up to six of them in one week for a jump six drive.

The jump drive is entirely different to the maneuver drive.
