"You realize that there was no New Era, it didn't happen and I refuse to believe it."

Not only that, the rumor that the Emperor has been assassinated is now known to be just an example of "tabloid journalism" at its worst.

Life in the Imperium continues as normal, with none of the events one would associate with the aftermath of an assassination.

How do! I was talked into getting a copy of Mongoose Traveller by a friend on another forum so we could play a PBEM that never happened, so I thought I'd come over to the official home of Traveller to see if I could fix that!

Howdy, Darksaber! Welcome to the crew.

I'm sure you'll be able to turn up something in the way of a game around here. Not to mention get all sorts of information exploring the place like I've been doing since I joined.

Age: not tellin
Country: USA
Favorite Traveller Version: TNE is the only one I have so far
Military Service: none
Favorite Supplement: none yet
Favorite Sector: none yet
Favorite Race: none yet
Favorite Empire: none yet

I've been gaming since 1980, beginning with red book D&D. But I've never played Traveller. I bought TNE when it first came out, enjoyed reading it, but no one else I gamed with was ever interested.

I do a lot of wargaming, mostly BattleTech in the past and some Ogre and WH40K, but in the last year I've started focusing on space games. My current favorite is Star Fleet Battles, and I'm currently eyeing Ad Astra's SITS and Squadron Strike. This led me to Ad Astra's Traveller minatures, which renewed my interest in the Traveller RPG.

Welcome!

There are a number of SFB players in here (Myself included) both present and former. I am in the "Former" crowd, tho' I still have commander's and captain's editions rulebooks and Captain's SSD's. (I just recently tossed my file of Commander's SSD copies.)

etc...

I'm essentially a n00b, having only played Traveller once back in the 80s. About 2 years ago, I picked up a copy of the black boxed set, and I'm getting tired of looking at it sitting on my shelf, so I'm here to learn more about the game, post-CT editions, etc... Don't know if I'll ever get around to running a campaign, but I'll give it a shot if the opportunity presents itself.

The only other space gaming I do is miniatures: Full Thrust!, using WizKid's Rocketmen ships.

So, I'm new. I've been posting here for about a week so I figured I'd introduce myself. Picked up Traveller on a whim and I am glad I did. Always been a fan of scifi, and now I found a game that has pretty much everything I love about it. I guess I'm some of the new blood that people have been discussing on the forums here.

I like to create stuff, in just about every way imaginable. To writing code for my own random projects to cooking to writing. So you will probably find a lot of random posts from me scattered about the forum.
