New and improved version of the same old poll.

I did some merges. I'm assuming the merges won't be particularly repulsive.

Proto-Traveller, Gateway (Gateway timeline but not in Gateway - Canopus or Aldebaran a few years leading to the Rim War), Hard Times/Sol Invictus*, TNE, and ATU: Other (Visions of Empire).

* No Virus, Solomani have conquered much Imperial space, at least to the size of their own sphere, even more... New Rule of Man! But now they have trouble with the Aslan who see their overstretched military as a chance to grab a lot of Solomani worlds, in the Dark Nebula for the very least.

Actually we don't know when the GTU point of departure is... if indeed they even know the answer.

The GTU materials are all dated 1115 to 1135. It's not the same milieux as CT, but a post 5FW. And it's sufficiently more defined than CT to exclude CT the way most people I know FTF interpret CT. It's a separate milieu from CT and MT.

I won't vote because of the conjunction.

Rob, the lorenverse starts in 1115 - it's parallel to MT, not CT

Despite its various potential canon issues, it however resembles the "Golden Era" the most, and seems to me to simply be an extension of it which ignores the Rebellion and its children.

I admit this is the most "offensive" merge I did. But I submit that it is at least reasonable. I will leave further musings for another thread.

It is the setting for the early adventures (1-3), where LBB5 hasn't re-written the ship paradigm and Library Data A-M/N-Z haven't over written the library data found within those first few adventures.

The Spinward Marches are a true frontier, not a region with a thousand year history. The Imperium is a much more oppressive regime, and PCs happily do jobs for freedom fighter groups such as the Ine Givar.

And the capital of the Imperium is, allegedly, on the only route through a rift which essentially splits the local arm into two regions. Thus it is a cosmopolitan trade and travel hub.

Might I sugest to add Terran Dawn setting?

I'm not sure how developed it is, nor if it is still being developed, but it seems quite interesting...

I voted for three/four,

A.Will go for 1248 or Galaxiad. I want to know what happens now in the OTU with the Empress Wave and My Little Cybernetic Ponies of Death!

B.At the other end of time, SJG was pretty cool with G:IW, but I want more details about the Geonee and Suerrat et. al. Well, Terra Uber Alles and all that.

C.ATU Wanderer - I could go for swords and blasters, and a non-psion based "magic system" (or manipulation of the TL22+ supersciences, depending on what you want to call it).

Browncoats?

1. Mine is the CT up to 1112.
2. Interstellar wars sounds very interesting with the low interstellar tech.
3. My own IMTU

I think I would like to fight on the side of the Terran Confederation,

or,

Anywhere in CT,

or,

An ATU, maybe combining Star Wars and Browncoats!

:D
