Your favorite sector

In that case I believe they were left blank because there was no "Official" sector information, and never would be.

You're confusing it with Foreven, the next sector over. In 'Imperial Lines #1' (short-lived MT-era GDW Trav newsletter) they published a map of Foreven sector showing star locations only, and promised that nothing else would ever be published (which, of course, hasn't stopped non-canonical fan versions from popping up on websites).

Far Frontiers, OTOH, has had quite a bit of development, from almost all of FASA's Trav material (it was 'their' sector from the old GDW landgrab) to the aforementioned write-ups in Ares and The Traveller Chronicle.

Has anyone contacted William H. Keith regarding the Far Frontiers sector? He might have some really good information on it.

Uh. Only if he kept running a campaign there. Dale Kemper's write-up is what FASA was using...

I go way out on a limb (or is that a spiral arm), I use Theron sector as my Home sector.

I really liked Meshan/Mendan/Amdukan, in Megatraveller. K'kree, Vargr, Julian, Imperial. SM without Zho's.

Solomani Rim and Spinward Marches are good, as are the Hinterworlds and Gateway Domain.

But presuming I ever run anything again, I'm going to use either Cassian Subsector or the sector which my Random Subsector is in (yes, there'll be more).

For CT like games, the Spinward Marches - if I ever exhaust all the possiblities for adventure in that sector then I'll move on...

For MT and TNE, the Diaspora sector is my choice.

Talk about a thread resurrection! Necromancers ain't got nothing on our Jame! Over five years in the grave, and poof, it's back, just like that...

Okay, as for mine, I'd have to say Empty Quarter for now, but come in a bit, my favorite 1248 sector will probably become the Hinterworlds. And there's always the sectors of my own creation, but those are from an ATU campaign.

Hope that helps,
Flynn

I'd have to say Spinward Marches, too ... if only because since I bought the deluxe set way back when, I've never played anywhere else in the OTU.

Earth doesn't interest me at all, so the Solomani Rim is out. I'm with Sigg, I can't see the Marches ever running out of adventure opportunities for me. Heck, I've hardly ever even ventured onto the right half of the map!

I must admit to being all Spinward Marched-out, after Ref'ing loads of games using CT Supp 3, back in the early '80s (Supp 3 was seen as awsome, back then). When the Solomani Rim came out my group were ecstatic and we gamed that to death as well. Spinward Marches still inspires a twinge of nostalgia at times.... :(

But presently, it's definitely Soli Rim (CT Supp 10 + GT: RoF) + Spica (of course!) :D

I probably answered this thread five years ago with the Spinward Marches and I'd say it still is. I've run two campaigns there so I guess that's a good indicator.

Naturally, the Marches. But I must admit a strange attraction to the rift edge of Corridor...

I am currently running a campaign in Gateway Domain. I find it definitely has lots of worlds, so far in the campaign, that make little sense. It is short on bases, specifically Scout Bases, it even has a Way Station that isn't on the XBoat route. Next campaign is either going back to the Spinward Marches or depending on the next version of Astrosynthesis, going 3D.
