50ton Modular Cutter

Hi Chaps
Start pics of my next deckplan. My go at a modular cutter. I am not sure that it is scaled right, but I am not particularly worried:). More pics over at

Thanks for the deck plans and the link to your blog. Can't wait to see what other gifts you'll drop on us.

Nicely done Brian, and many thanks for sharing such !

Question if I may, could the drive access conduit (spine) be so constructed that such could 'retract' to carry specific sized modules other than the standard sections commonly employed ?

My meaning is if the spine could shorten it's length then say a more compact 'section' could be used giving the basic vehicle wider capacity for different roles and applications.

Utilizing said specialized modules* might allow the cutter to operate in 20, 30 or 40ton configurations, hence making such a versatile craft quite a bargain for a starship operator to obtain.

*20ton 'hot rod' launch (emergency response package)
*30ton 'fast' ship's boat (shuttle-bus or box-truck)
*40ton 'fast' pinnace (with deployable wings)

Hmmmm. Food for thought. Will ponder that one. Knock me up some High Guard stats and I'll give it a crack.
