A little history

Hey, am starting a new campaign and am wondering the status of the Imperium in regards to other races and worlds. Example, can Zhodani enter Imperial space? ARe the Solomani still leading the vilani and the imperium? Just need some filler. Thanks for any responses.

As of the Imperial Year 1000 in the Official Traveller Universe:

The Zhodani and Imperium have a sort of Cold War going on, and there is very little legitimate traffic between the two empires.

The Third Imperium is very mixed Solomani/Vilani. Probably a slight majority of the noble houses claim Solomani heritage (as the Sylean Federation which formed the 3rd Imperium was dominated by a Solomani ruling class). Also, the language of the Imperium is Galanglic (a descendant of English, and thus a Solomani language) so the Imperium is linguistically Solomani as well. Biologically Vilani blood probably predominates,more or less. Militarily Solomani traditions dominate at almost all levels (in fact it is almost amazingly like late 20th century Earth military forces).

But the most solidly Solomani area, the sectors right around Earth are currently in revolt against the Imperium and are setting up an independent Confederation.

Thanks for the info. Where can I find more of this info? So the Earth is in revolt? That's cool.
