My point is, it's hard to judge your design if it doesn't actually use a valid set of rules.Originally posted by atpollard:
For what it is worth, try designing a 2dTon, 2G, 5 passenger ship with any system. I bet the Engineering section will be about the same size and I bet the cost will be in the millions of credits. The systems aren't all that different. This is roughly HG TL 10 without the arbitrary 1 dTon limits. Everything else is candy.

Actually, it's pretty close in many ways. MD & JD are identical IIRC. Computers & PPs are more efficient.Originally posted by atpollard:
Wow, FFS2 really is very incompatible with High Guard.
T20 is High Guard Plus. GT is...different.Is it that different from T20 and Gurps Traveller (the two current systems)?
Most of that 50% is the thrusters, which have a min size of 10m3.Your 2 dTon FFS2 ship is about 50 percent engineering and fits 5 people into 1 dTon of space. My 2 dTon HG derived Mini Craft Rules ship is 16 percent engineering and fits 5 people into 1.5 dTons of space.
That's wonderful. You could do a joint entry with someone else who can do the stats. Andrew? Care to stat your highport for Mikazoid to turn into deckplan loveliness? The chance to work on plans for some of these great ship designers is a reward in itself. I owe a few plans to a few folks (Sid, I haven't forgot!), but I'd be delighted to work on any station plans that you talented folks have in mind. Contact me via PM or X-boat.
Quick question - what format is a dot qsd file?Originally posted by robject:
Though not very pretty, I have some smallcraft deckplans using the draft T5 smallcraft design.
Ooops, these aren't meant to be official entries. My apologies.
AT, wonderful graphics!
I think it needs a font called T5NADeckPlan.ttf by SJG.Originally posted by robject:
Do you mean a qsp file? It's just the ascii deckplan for a ship.

Now that's a starport.Originally posted by Andrew Boulton:
Here are views of the highport to do with as you wish. It's roughly 16Mdt.
