Money (or the donation of it) doesn't seem to be a solution, here. There seems to be a lot of hurt on both sides based on the use/misuse of an artist's work. The pain isn't going away and I am afraid that a great product (SF20) is being held in limbo until the issue is fixed. I think there is a lot of betrayal here.
Just so we're clear... if anything regarding SF20 or T20 is being held in limbo, then I'm not aware of it. Nobody has discussed this with me and I don't imagine anyone would. There may be reasons why this is all stalled, but it's nothing whatsoever to do with me.
I have no information about SF20, other than that it illegally reused my work. I don't know if anyone else even cares about that - I don't recall discussing SF20 with anyone in fact, not until now.
I am deeply impressed that you have that information to hand.
My respect, sir.
Actually got this response from Mr. Miller. Sounds good, fingers crossed
"We expect to produce such a disk by the end of the year.
Greetings, This might have been asked already, but I am wondering about the fate of adventures written for T20. QLI is no longer selling them, they are selling generic D20 stuff now. Which is too bad because they were interesting. I was told that they might be collecting them for sale by CD ROM at Far Future. Is this true? If not, how are fans able to gain access?

It would be nice to see Scifi20 competing with the other D20 systems again. :file_22:
If a game designer is really interested they can simply make a new D20 Trav type game. It doesn't require any lic fees or permission...
Interesting. So in the case of D20 Trav a licensing fee to the owners of Scifi20 is not required? Not even to FFE? Or is it a matter of removing all traveller from it as Hunter did?
It's OGL. So, almost no. Not everything in the SF20 rulebook was open content. Most of it, however, is open content.

I am wondering why reinvent the wheel. There are copies of the T20 guidbook still on the used market. Or are you interested in commercially publishing a new game? If you just want to mashup something for your own use I don't think there is anything wrong with that as long as you don't distribute it. Back in the 80's my friend ran a "Traveller" game based on the original Top Secret espionge RPG rule set. It worked really well and we played for years.
Personally I love the T20 game and D20 in general but I don't think I've ever played in a D20 game that wasn't houseruled to some extent. Could you just not house rule things to get what you want from a game?
anyone know the ETA for the T20 CD ROM?
Mike
I meant, D20 SRD + Trav SRD = New D20 "Traveller" game.
