I need cross-cultural references to sci-fi from China.

When discussing what traveller is like, a reply was sent: "you can assume that I know nothing -.- I have only read Chinese SF".

No Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Doctor Who (sci-fi??), nothing.

Anyone out there well versed in chinese sci-fi authors?

Cowboy Bebop from Japan is about the only thing that I know of ... but someone from Hong Kong will probably have an answer.

I'm currently reading a book of non-Western SF. One story in it is "The Wheel of Samsara", by Han Song, a journalist for the Xinhua News Agency. (Good story, btw.) It says he's won China's Galaxy Award (SF) four times.
The only novel of his listed in this book of short stories is "Red Ocean", published in 2004. (I haven't read it, nor seen it.)

The book I'm reading is "The Apex Book of World SF", edited by Lavie Tidhar, publ. 2009 by Apex Publications, LLC (Kentucky, USA).
It has some interesting stories in it, so far.

Hope this helps.
