My own country's old motto sounds like a perfect one for the 3rd Imperium; specially when we remember the disaster that was the Rebellion.

The Spetsnaz motto of, "Any mission, any time, any place" might work given that pretty much sums up the lot of a space empire's military.
My favorite is the Foreign Legion's, modified to fit the Co-Do universe of Pournelle: "You have joined the Marines to die, and the Fleet will take you where you will die." That works for the marines IMTU (which is Co-Do based).
For the drop troops it's just "Jump or Die" - another interpretation of the same.

BR154 has a motto of "On Target" as part of their squadron crest. (SMC p36)

Come to think of it, the few canonical examples of Imperial mottos that we have suggest that Galanglic versions are the norm, rather than them being latinized as I suggested earlier. Of course, with only half a dozen examples, latinized mottos are not ruled out. Nevertheless, how does "Always Faithful" strike you as the Imperial Marine motto? Traditional yet at the same time differentiated.

I'm coming round to the idea that there is no Service motto, just unit mottos. And that unit mottos would be Galanglic rather than Latinised (as Hans noted). Actually I could see some units using High Vilani or even other local languages depending on the unit background ... Galanglic by default with exceptions.

With regards to the Imperial Marine motto, either official or unofficial, I quite liked the "theme" Loren Wiseman suggested Doug Berry follow when he wrote GT:Ground Forces:
The party is over.
When the Marines arrive, the party is over. Period. The Imperium doesn't need to know why you muddies are busily butchering one another, but you muddies need to know that the butchery stops now and the Marines will crack enough heads together to make it sure it stops.
Various combat, construction, and civil affairs brigades from the Unified Armies will eventually get stuck with all the tedious "nation building", "peacekeeping", and "demilitarized zone" jobs, but the Marines are here to stop the shooting by shooting all of those who are shooting.
"Party's Over", "Pool's Closed", or however you express it, it's the Marine's real motto.
