Licences - how much do they cost?

Now, I realise that the answer, as a GM, is "as much as I want them to"... but I'm interested in the rough fees that other people consider reasonable.

I'm assuming that most licences are renewable annually, or possibly biannually. How much, as rough ideas, would you consider for these examples?

Trading and transportation of:
Firearms?
Ammunition?
Radioactives?

How much would a permit/license to fit ship's weaponry (for self defence, of course) cost?

A bounty hunting permit, if such a thing exists?
(Not a licence to kill, but semi-legal powers.)

Hmmm... and any other types of permits that you find amusing to keep your PC's cash flowing into the coffers of authority?

Interested in your thoughts...

(Obviously, the issue of any permit like this requires the appropriate background checks, or enough bribes to the right people, or finding a *very* good hacker...)

I've typically made them a given with certain careers.

Ex-Merchants get Interstellar Trading licences and Interstellar Commercial Starship and Smallcraft operator licences.

Ex-Navy get Interstellar Military Starship and Smallcraft operator licences (in mtu they have a shot at mustering out with military craft as StarMercs).

Ex-Army and Ex-Marines get Paramilitary Materiel permits (covers weapons, ammo, and armor as well as vehicles suited to Mercenary employment).

Other careers may get the same or other licences but I've never figured out the costs, if it had come up I'd have just made it up on the spot, probably a few thousand Credits and up, depending.

Same with renewing, I just trust it's all part of the general upkeep expenses.

However...

I do threaten to have licences stripped as a bit of a stick for getting PCs to do things

I did a similar thing as far-trader. We discussed licenses as part of the game, but costs were assumed to be part of the normal day-to-day expenses that we also usually ignored.
