On the rimward edge of the Zairae subsector are a group of non-aligned worlds that are feudal technocracies. These systems specialize in producing lines of goods of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Their products demand high prices off world in upscale markets. The privileged and moneyed seek them out as much for status symbols as for their unique qualities.
All of them are closely tied to the Anubian Trade Confederation and Ral Ranthan Empire. These two larger political entities keep the Boutique Worlds from coming under anyone's direct control. Both see it to their advantage to keep these worlds independent and producing their unique products.
The Boutique Worlds and a short description of their products:
1238 Isig: E77873F-6 Rare earths, precious heavy metals, and gems. Onerous enforcement of laws to prevent "workers" absconding and theft or smuggling of products.
1438 Kasasha: C1009BE-9 The largest arms bazaar for at least 100 light years. You name it, you can get it there... For a price. Heavily defended and not somewhere you go uninvited.
1339 Dawntide: D786335-4 A vacation paradise. Resorts to TL F, hunting, safaris, ocean cruses on "antique" vessels, it's all available there if you can afford the price tag.
1340 Lamalikir: C244559-5 Perfumes and scents many produced from indigenous plants and animals.
1140 Kuga: D210654-6 Exotic and rare gems and jewelry.
1040 Ulaam: E576755-6 Handcrafted furniture and sculptures. Just what any noble would want decorating their mansion.
1440 Shau Pol: B683755-5 Clothing, rugs, and tapestries. "Shau Pol red" colored fabrics are widely known and recognized as a status symbol. It's what the well dressed wealthy noble would want to be seen in. A Shau Pol tapestry with the family coat of arms is just the thing any noble would want displayed prominently for their guests to see. Being seen in a several thousand credit + Shau Pol original dress is something any proper lady would want to have.
0501 Ginshar: A410631-B Bioengineering and pharmaceuticals. In these two areas they well exceed Imperial standard technology. Have a close relationship with the SuSAG megacorporation.
0801 Boilingbrook: A9C9751-D Manufacture of sky cities and "Mid ports" using anti-grav technology.
1001 Kupakii C654352-A Specialty foods (think fois grau, or caviar).
1202 Arghikii E653557-8 Ceramics. Want the equivalent of Ming china on your table to impress your guests? They sell it.

The Ral Ranthans are involved in the shadier side of things acting as protection and smuggling of goods off these worlds elsewhere. For example, they smuggle arms off Kasasha, move illegal bio-engineered "products" and drugs off Ginshar. Isig moves radioactives and materials for manufacture of nuclear weapons through them.
