Unpopular movies onboard your starship.

"Noble Family Vacation" ... I like that. I like the scene where the father is driving the family closed "station wagon" air raft, and the hot blonde in the cherry red speeder flirts with him on the road :D

Wait! I think I saw that... didn't they leave their dead grandmother on some abandoned asteroid? And they didn't have to expose her pet to jumpspace...

Vargr House, about alien students' antics not conforming in an Imperium university's code of behaviour, and their curiosity about human mating rituals.

Robot Jox - For it's silly stupid walker designs - kept alive as a cult phenomenon specifically because of those designs.

I'm embarrassed and not too proud to say that I went and saw Robot Jox in the theatre.

Yes. I knew what I was getting into.

Yes. The lady behind the counter smirked at me when I asked to buy a ticket.

Yes. It was exactly what I was expecting.

"Move along...move along..."

Seems to be available on Youtube. Not worth the price of a movie ticket, but not a total waste of time either. Kinda reminds me of a made-for-TV thing - mostly 'cause the musical accompaniment, the bot fighting and the acting are all TV-grade.

I bet somebody could make some money doing this right with CGI and a decent cast nowadays.

You know, I saw this movie on local UHF years back, and then again on one of the local Asian channels (Channel 32?) in the mid 90s or some time around then.

Behold! "Planet of Dinosaurs" :D

Shot in the same park where they shot classic Trek's "Gorn" episode. It's somehow fitting.

And then there is...

Jurassic Park meets the Hobbit
Starship Repoman
IT came from Gavin IV
Barney (The Purple Dinosaur) comes to Core
Grandfather's Ring World Legacy (A documentary)

Playing this week:

A "Land Before Time" marathon! Follow the musical adventures of Littlefoot and his friends as they struggle to survive in a world of dangerous predators.

I like it, but my family mutinies if I try to play it.

Now, whenever my daughter complains about having trouble falling asleep, I offer to put on ...
