I somehow suspect we're asking for things that might be difficult to implement, somehow. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained ;)

I hear ya, I think it's worth asking/discussing tho.

We already have the 8 options for which Milieu the map presents, I don't know much/anything about the database that supports the map but I'd guess the info that sets the zone is present, whether or not it's worth the time of the developers to implement, I can't say.

Adding additional data sets is plausible, but it's maintenance and -- perhaps more importantly -- confusion and clutter in the UI that's a problem. Since it's just me and just a hobby I'm not eager to support arbitrary amounts of detail like every single variation of the Marches. I can put up "historical" versions (as exist for the Judges Guild and Paranoia Press sectors) but they're not as integrated as Milieu, they just hang out in remote corners of the galaxy since that's easy for me and adds no clutter.

Importantly, though, you can always use your own data with the tools provided for booklets/posters/etc.

Only one set of sector data is in a core rulebook... MT IE & MT PM have a set of Marches Data...

He's got a point.

That said, a lot of it can come down to a referee's personal preferences. There's plenty of scope out there to use whichever version people prefer, and there's never been a prohibition on modifying any of the data for use in YTU if it better supports your campaign.

I follow, and for the last para, yeah, that's handy, although getting the format right can be a pain in the eyeballs ;)

For me, the real Spinward Marches is the boxed CT set, with the big map, and Adventure 0, and the mayday from Free Trader Beowulf on the box cover.
