Just a NURBS doodle so far.

Thanks, Brian.

Here is an early render. Trying out some textures already. A habit of mine is to texture before all modeling is finished.

Coming along nicely. I'm not sure there's much point having a window - you wouldn't see a lot.

I'll look at the deck plans again when I get back to the studio. Maybe there was a lounge or VIP room for that window? Mr. Keith drew something looking like windows and hatches around the top area. The raft uses a hatch somewhere on the side.

My models probably won't make much sense realistically. But I always liked the style of the inked drawings from 1980.

This keeps bringing up this line in my head:
Broadsword calling Danny Boy, Broadsword calling Danny Boy... Come in Danny Boy

followed by Ian Anderson singing
I see a dark sail on the horizon
set under a black cloud that hides the sun.

Bring me my broadsword and clear understanding.
Bring me my cross of gold as a talisman.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.

Bring me my broadsword and clear understanding.
Bring me my cross of gold as a talisman.

Bless with a hard heart those who surround me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind. Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on for the motherland.

A-deck has a skylight (which I'd forgotten).

A large starview ceiling (defined by the dashed line; coverable with steel shutters in times of danger) pierces the hull over this room and the adjacent owner's suite.

Positive: Absolutely Cool!

Comment: Looks like your turrets are the same diameter as your cutter bays. That would translate to 6m or about 20'. A bit big IMO.

Keep up the great work!

I'll look at the drawings again. I'm not going by the deck plans. My model is more stylized than accurate. I figure someone else has already done a better, more precise, model already or is working on one.

ADDED:
Ok. I used the wrong lens on my camera when I modeled the turrets. I'm shrinking them now. You guys have good eyes. I took down the chunky bug-eyed monster render.
