I have been waiting patiently

Yep Michael Taylor was the author/organizer behind it, and a couple others had fingers in the pie* though as far as I know MJD never even saw it in his capacity as line editor before the communication died on it. I tried contacting (not very hard though) Michael a while back, with no luck. And he's not posted here in a long time. It could be very hard to make this work anywhere else given that. It may even be part of the holdup for Hunter.

Speculation though, especially as out of the loop as Kharum's seems (and I'm surprised he is so out of the loop if he was doing artwork for the designs) is pointless (or worse) and should be avoided imo.

* Bryan Gibson for art originally; Commander X, Mike Wightman, and myself contributed some designs and feedback etc

Michael posts on the Comstar Traveller Forums sometimes.

Has Hunter posted on here in a while? My proposed solution is...IF the Solomani book is 100% done Hunter should let Andrew upload it to RPGNow.com? Just my two cents...

To be frank this debacle doesn't give incentive for other writers to work with QLI in the future. Andrew has gone out of his way to work hard and finish the artwork for the Solomani book and nothing has come of it.

Mike

Just putting this in context before I ask. From January 31 2008.

I have been waiting patiently since June 2005 for something new that piqued my interest in the TA/EA line. I have had two issues left in my subscription since then. It is now 2008. Anything coming soon?

Before you say it, I know I can Download both TA and EA with this subscription, but I already have all but the TNE EA, and I have never had any interest in the TNE setting.

The last TA or EA published was June 2005, it is now July 2009 and more than 4 years since the last TA or EA has been published.

Working on it. Trying to get Solomani Ships sorted out as we speak.

It has been 18 months since Hunter made the response.

So where is this one?

Exactly how soon is very soon?

Between the Solomani Ships TA thread and the I've been waiting patiently thread there are over thirteen thousand (13,000) viewings.
Patience over four years, or insanity?

Insanity has already been taken as an option for other threads...;)

So patience is the only venue left.

So as long as this is taking...what remains afterwards is the question that I would like answered. Are going to be left with SFRPG20 items for the remainder or is there a big bang lurking even behind that. I do thank Hunter for providing the CoTI even as I have helped renew it a few times... I wish him success in whatever business ventures he does embark upon and has not sullied the name of Traveller with things that were not Traveller. The same could not be said of some other versions. So, whatever, patience we may loose with Hunter for the delays in this regard...let us praise him for what he has done (albeit with the help of many others).

Colin posted in another thread that Solomani ships was out on August 12th at DTRPG.

It is now August 22nd and apparently in the top 20 over at DTRPG.

It still isn't available for those of us with PREPAID subscriptions and who have been waiting for a new installment in the TA line, for over 5 YEARS.

This is long past the nudge, nudge stage. What possible reason is there not to have it here? After all here Hunter controls product release, submission guidelines, quality and store placement.

PUT IT ON THE FRAGGING SERVER AND THROW THE SWITCH ALREADY!

(Yes I am no longer waiting patiently.)

Just an update,

The TA9 problem was something that Ive taken to Marc to discuss, as Marc's away for a few days an answer will take a while to receive.

Just to let you all know that its being discussed, and I hope for a solution soon.

Rog.

Aramis gave me a nasty gram for saying this (FT - referencing the deleted insult above), TA9 is now available at DTRPG. But still not available for people who have already paid for it.

Ooooppps, just got another infraction.

Know what, you're right.

What's more, for flagrantly ignoring and repeating it again, take a vacation of your own too. Three days to think.

It doesn't matter the reason you just don't do it and expect to skate on my watch.

Any word on this? I, too, am a prepaid subscriber (8 TA items left!) wondering when TA9 will become available to me...

Tx!

2a) In-character additions to a thread will not be considered off-topic when they are relevant to the current discussion.

2b) On-line game play belongs in the appropriate sections.
Play By Post - In Character - For in character play and digression.
Play by Post - OOC - For Out of Character (OOC) discussion of the in-character threads.

3) Politics & Religion are forbidden outside the Political Pulpit.

3c) Politics or religion of the OTU may be deemed political.

4) Treat others as you would be treated yourself.

5) No advocating nor soliciting of real-world violations of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or patent.

6) Do not undertake any action to the detriment of the community (this is vague to there can be no loopholes). The list of forbidden actions includes, but is not limited to:
Trying to pull fans away from here to other Traveller forums.
Trashing other forums, games, companies, or their products.
Attempting to solicit personal information.
Encouraging breaking board rules.
Arguing with Moderators or Administrators about these rules.

7) No advertising for commercial site, even Traveller ones, without Hunter's approval. Period. This includes no links to such sites in one's signature block.

Remember: This is Hunter's board, and we are all guests here. Hunter's word is the law of COTI.

There is also a new moderation system. When moderators note an offense, they have the option to issue a warning, or issue an infraction point, or suspend a member.

Warnings are just that, warnings. They are a notice that you've pushed the rules too far, or even broken them, but are not being punished. Correct the error, and please edit the offending post. All mods will see if you have had any recent warnings.

Infraction Points accumulate, but also expire. If you've not been warned, or if you've been warned and pulled back, but not far enough, you'll get one. At three that have not yet expired, you get a 1 day suspension. At 4, a seven-day suspension. At 5, you're suspended until further notice, possibly permanently. All infractions last at least 10 days.

If an infraction is issued, expect to see your post edited by a moderator, as well.

Immediate Suspension: Mods also have the ability to directly suspend users. This is only likely if a user does something right after a warning, or is a repeat offender. It is hoped that this will not be needed.

Thread & Post manipulation: Moderators noticing a thread going astray can pull specific off topic posts to a new thread, to a thread in a different board section, or to delete or edit posts.

Only moderators and admins can actually delete a post from the system, but members can mark posts for deletion, at which point they will not be readable by anyone exept the staff. Staff will delete these as we notice them.

If a thread is having major issues, moderators can and will issue a statement and lock the thread.

If you post a thread to the wrong area, just PM a moderator, and we'll move it.

What exactly is my infraction so that I may not do so again?

That is what part was a personal attack? Why after two years is a quote an attack?
