Just a note that you may want to compare costs between the original company and the US distributor. Sometimes it's cheaper and about as fast (if not faster) to order directly. They may also have more stock and a wider range on hand.

That being said US distributors are often nice & helpful and may carry other items you want at the same time.

Finally, RLBPS I have ordered and purchased from before. He also runs a good painting service. The rest have a good internet and convention repuatation from what I've heard.

Tracking down relatively obscure miniatures can be a right chore but it's usually worth it.

I find the "More information coming soon" to be very intriguing. May I still get a chance to acquire the mercenary cruiser, subs. Liner and the Donosev survey ship which I did not win on Ebay?

Umm, I realise it's a bit late, but if the Scout/Courier, Beowulf and Close Escort are definitely in the "first batch", why include them in the poll?

Not that I'm complaining too loudly - since I didn't see the point in voting for ones already confirmed, I've got an extra 3 votes over anyone who did! :D

Captain Chicken (Leg-End in his own lunchbox).

 Right you are, confused I am now. Too late you are not. (continue the Yoda inspired theme I must)

And I thank you for the chuckle

Welcome aboard Cowboy :D

(now why does that have sexual overtones that are creeping me out in a way my welcome greeting never has before  )

Very cool.

I just took the survey and it was interesting that I gravitated towards the traditional classic ships.

I figure the Asteroid SHip would be a waste - I can just go out to my backyard and get one of those.

Now I wish that I had kept the Clipper and modules from 10 years ago...

Sigg, the promotional bit implies: "Free and Far Traders, Corsairs and SDBs, Scouts and Escorts, Cruisers and small craft". That's only eight "names", but I'm betting all 12 fit somewhere in there.

Dan, you need to get out more....

Well, I will agree with that. :(
(Though, I will say that the underlying model looks good.)

I always liked what Agents of Gaming did with their display miniatures. It looked like a simple black (ink?) wash that really highlighted the sculpting detail. Better than a unpainted miniature and faster than a full expert paint job. Random sample.

Well I'd expect to see other ships if this one is successful but no idea which ones will be next in line. Like the rest I'm not sure it'll go that well at $12 US plus shipping unless it's a two pack.

Then again there is currently a set of Martian Metals (not the best figs) 15mm Zhodani set of 12 going for $71 US on ebay:

ebay Zhodani auction

And I noted the prices for the old ship minis in a recent post on CotI and they were similar. So Traveller fans (some) have the deep pockets if it's something we're lusting after. Leaves me out, but I count myself lucky having some of the old ones to keep me busy and contented. We'll have to wait till January I guess. My birthday btw is in January <hint hint>
