Traveller PC/NPC Paper Miniatures

Cool. I was surprised by the TML actually. I posted a link to the minis a week or so ago and got absolutely no responses whatsoever.
It's called being "overawed"! :D

Good work! A couple of suggestions:

Imperial Marines not in battledress.
Imperial Navy.
Imperial Army.
Scouts.

On the 12th day of Christmas, our Scarecrow gave to us...

12 Aslan roaring,
11 Impies shooting,
10 K'kree grazing,
9 Zhos a-teeping...

No problem. Do we know what they look like?

My most noble Baron, you are most welcome to use the minis in any way that you see fit. The only exception to that rule is that you don't profit from them in any way.

Unfortunately the link you provided leads only to an error page of some description :(

Crow

Nope =(

GROUP_CHECK

You need to be a group member before you can access the group's contents, so you can't link to it.

You can go directly to the group page:

I'll apply for membership so I can have a look. If that's okay.

The photo on the front page looks pretty snazzy though! =)

Everybody has an opinion on what you should do next.
Here's mine: Whatever you want. Whatever you enjoy. You are gracious enough to share your gift with us; I'm humble enough to gratefully accept it.

(not many of my friends would characterize me as humble, btw.)

Well, speaking of opinions and kudos...

</font>[/QUOTE]...they'll look like whatever you draw them as Crow

If you're fielding suggestions I have some.

  • Imperial Marines not in battledress.</font>
Indistinguishable from...

</font>
  • Imperial Army.</font>
That is, Combat Armor rather than Battle Dress (not quite as big but not as soft as Vac-Suits). Weapons not quite as heavy. Perhaps the Laser Rifle, and a Gauss Rifle, an officer with a Gauss Pistol (much like the Vac-Suited Aslan handgun). A crew served weapon would be cool (3 figure set?). Like a heavy MG or Laser. Tripod mounted heavy weapon, with a kneeling gunner, and a kneeling "loader" (large backpack with). One more, a prone "sniper" figure would be keen.

</font>
  • Imperial Navy.</font>
Uniforms (actually Tailored Vac-Suits) with brim caps for officers, berets for crew. Big on style. Crew with device (multi-tool, tablet compy, scanner, comms - they can all look the same). Officer with Navy model gauss pistol (long barrel handgun). Officer with Navy foil (more like a sabre than foil, not quite as heavy as a cutlass). Crew with small long arm (Accelerator Rifle or Laser Carbine). Male and female if you please. The armored versions are fine (hard to tell forms in BD or Combat Armor) but Tailored Vac-Suit Uniforms would show more.

</font>
  • Imperial Scouts.</font>
Hawaiian shirt and straw hat. Glass of Scout brew in hand, cocktail with umbrella for team leader ...

OK, seriously. One with a hard suit (like BD) and device (same all as one as above). A couple in simple uniforms (Tailored Vac-Suits again, and shes and hes please), with a utility vest and simple brimmed cap. These would have device or handgun, one held the other holstered. Scouts would also be big on Grav Belts so adopt that in here too please.

...anyway, that's just a few thoughts to help if they do and you still need some. Like I said whatever you come up with is sure to wow and be adopted as unofficially official by many, but hey, no pressure

Now then, civilians...

After you mentioned it, I came over all nostalgic and dug that out the other day for another play and was surprised to see Liz Danforth in the credits!! I assume it's the same Traveller 2300 Liz Danforth. Maybe not.

Anyways, thanks for all the suggestions everyone. You'll appreciate it may be some time before I get round to them all, but I'm sure they'll all be included in the end (I'm keeping a list).

I made up some K'Kree last night and realised I've made a mistake with the tabs on their bases. They still work but you'll find you need to snip a bit off! I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Also, I was thinking of beefing up the Marines in Battledress. I think they should look bigger and more imposing like WH40K marines - especially when compared to say, the Imperial Army in light armour.

It's been a few days since I last posted any, I've been a bit distracted this week. I do have Zhodani civilians (male and female) and Droyne Betas in Vacc-Suits and Armour half completed. Hopefully it won't be long before I can post one of them.

^ That is still a great game for all it's faults and age. I always thought your ST:TNG figs dovetailed nicely with that style.

I'm looking forward to your continued efforts!
