They have magnetic compasses.
Space Shark!Which totally could be a nuke.
This is where I link to the WWII experiments with using pigeons as bomb guidance systems. (Wikipedia)They have magnetic compasses.
Pilot-1Do carrier pigeons have innate Navigation-0 skill?
So no Gunnery skill for our pigeon pilot?Orientation and target recognition are a tad different.
Gravity bombers don't use Gunnery skill. So no Gunnery skill for our pigeon pilot?
I can see then used as jump capable spamvertisements. Sort of like the street corner sandwich board guys, hawking whatever, trying to shout over the others. Some company or government starts dumping them in the surrounding systems and flood the local data nets with ads or even misinformation.
Fixed that for you.Torpedo spam.

LBB5 '80 requires charged capacitors and fuel. (p. 43); this is to clarify that input from the Black Globe can be used in addition to power plant output to reach the 2EP per Jn per 100Td needed to jump in a single turn, even if the power plant can't do it alone in 1 turn.J-Torps work under HG rule set.
- No power plant needed to initiate jump by using pre-charged Jump Drive Capacitors.
HG '80 requires computer mod/# = Jn. A ship can "loan" its computer to a ship it's lashed to and jumping with, though.
- Computer not needed.
CT-bk2-77 mentions them.. bk2 p18... giving no stats. so, A4, written in 1978 or '79... wasn't aware they could cease being canon.Book 2, 1977, tells us that no vessel under 100 tons can jump. I believe all Traveller rules have followed this since.
Then Adventure 4, Leviathan, introduces jump torpedos. The adventure is published by GDW and uses High Guard rules overall.
As I stated, we are using High Guard rule set aka CT B05, Jump Drive Capacitors will be pre-charged, sized for the Torpedo and and the drive would be 2% of the dTon of the Torpedo. If we were using CT B02 then the minimum Drive size is 10 dT, but we are not using CT B02.LBB5 '80 requires charged capacitors and fuel. Pn=Jn required (LBB2 '81 and LBB5 '80).
Minimum drive size (maneuver drive and power plant, and by analogy also the jump drive) is 1Td.
Don't know why it was done, except maybe the Masters didn't want us sending Message Massacres to their minions. Isn't that why we a are here?CT-bk2-77 mentions them.. bk2 p18... giving no stats. so, A4, written in 1978 or '79... wasn't aware they could cease being canon.
